Beyoncé, along with daughter Blue Ivy Carter, supported husband JAY-Z at his new Book of HOV exhibition at the Brooklyn Central Library on Thursday. The “Cuff It” singer wore a stunning orange dress for the opening while Blue rocked an off-the-shoulder blue dress, a gold necklace and a pair of sunglasses.
The Book of HOV exhibition includes ‘thousands of archived objects, including original recording masters, never-before-seen photos, artwork, memorabilia from the artist’s personal archives, and prestigious awards representing his multifaceted career.
According to a press release, The Book of HOV was “created by Roc Nation to celebrate the life and work of Shawn “JAY-Z” Carter. One of Brooklyn’s most influential figures, JAY-Z has shaped and consistently redefined hip-hop, music and culture on a global scale.”
For Blue Ivy, the exhibit served as a much-needed break from her busy schedule of touring with her mother, Beyoncé. After spending a significant portion of June on the European leg of the tour, Blue has now joined her mother for the USA leg. Recently, she made her debut in Philadelphia, impressively dancing in heels for the first time on tour.
Beyoncé, the epitome of a proud mother, previously expressed her admiration for Blue Ivy, emphasizing how much joy she brings to the Carter family.
Taking to Instagram, she wrote, “My beautiful first born. I’m so proud and thankful to be your mama. You bring us so much joy, my sweet angel.”
As the Renaissance tour continues, the next stops will be Nashville on Saturday, July, 15, Louisville on Monday, July 17, and Minneapolis on Thursday, July 20. Then the mother-daughter duo will head to Chicago for two dates, Saturday and Sunday, July 22 and 23.
The Book of HOV is free and open to the public during Central Library’s regular hours of operation.
