Tyrese Gibson celebrated his daughter Shayla’s 16th birthday earlier this month on June 8th. The singer and actor went all out, transforming his West Coast residence into a theme park to create a memorable day for his daughter.
Shayla’s birthday celebration was nothing short of spectacular, featuring a ferris wheel, a 360-degree camera station, a torch juggler, and other attractions. The event drew the attention of various stars, including Vin Diesel, Big Boy, Quincy, the Combs Twins, and others.
“When you have a nightclub in your backyard sh*t hit different!!!!!! Sierra Canyon [whole] squad is HEAVY in the yard,” the 44-year-old captioned a video from the party on Instagram “#ShaylaSweet16 is not to be played with.”
On Father’s Day, Tyrese, who has two daughters, expressed his thoughts on fatherhood. He stated, “I have no idea how many days on this earth I have left… But I must let both of my angels know I had one goal in mind… Just one… My whole childhood was fully immersed in various levels of trauma and dysfunction, and I lost my teenage years in pursuit of breaking the generational curses that plagued our family…”
He continued, “This new stronghold belongs to Jesus OUR father, the Lord Jesus Christ, and until I draw my last breath, I simply hope to make you proud as a father… Happy Father’s Day to ALL fathers worldwide… We may never receive the true love, validation, or respect we deserve… Just know that GOD IS WATCHING, and we are making Him very proud through every positive choice we influence our kids to make.”
