Dababy took his daughter Serenity to the BET Awards on Sunday, and he shared photos of their experience on Instagram. The images captured Serenity looking like a real-life princess in her elegant floor-length gown. “Me & the princess Live from the @betawards,” DaBaby captioned.
While walking the red carpet, the rapper revealed to BillBoard that he was disappointed that his daughter wasn’t allowed to join him.
“I came with my princess. She was excited to walk the red carpet in her handcrafted dress, but they didn’t allow minors,” he said, trailing off and displaying a sad expression.
Although it was disappointing that his daughter couldn’t walk the carpet, Dababy was still pleased to attend the show and see influential artists like Ludacris and Busta Rhymes, whom he admired “since he was a kid”.
Dababy prioritizes being a father over being an artist, emphasizing that being a father is his favorite role.
“Being a father is my favorite role. It’s what I love to do,” he said.
Last year, rumors circulated that the musician was expecting another child with his second baby mama, Quita, after she revealed her baby bump on social media.
On her Instagram, Quita shared photos showcasing her growing belly in a yellow mini dress. She captioned the post, “Creation grows for God to be revealed.”
DaBaby later confirmed that he had indeed welcomed another child with one of his baby mamas. In his song, “Yea Come On” , he raps about having four daughters by “three different baby mamas”:
