Nick Cannon spends the most time with his daughter, Onyx Cannon. The celebrity father delved into his co-parenting arrangement during an interview on The Jason Lee Podcast.

“I’m with her at least three times a week, for the full day,” Nick said of the amount of quality time he spends exclusively with Onyx. “I don’t put that out there in the media, social media [because] it’s not for them,” the celebrity father continued.

“LaNisha and I have a super strong understanding and our co-parenting operation is so solid,” Nick said of his relationship with Onyx’s mom, LaNisha Cole. “If you see me on Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays, my daughter is right next to me, [regardless of] whether I’m on set.”

Nick Cannon went on to tell Jason Lee, “I got a nursery in my office. I’m literally gonna leave here to make sure that I can spend the most time with her—not against all my other kids because all my other kids, they’re in school, they’re babies, as well as Onyx — but the fact that I appreciate that LaNisha gives me the respect enough to allow me to have, really, as equal amount of time as she does.”

Nick and LaNisha welcomed their daughter last September. Onyx was born days before Brittany Bell gave birth to her and Nick Cannon’s youngest son, Rise Messiah Cannon.

Some have criticized LaNisha Cole for choosing to have a child with Nick Cannon given his fathering more than a dozen children. A few Internet trolls have even gone so far as to accuse LaNisha of being nothing more than a “baby mama” to Nick. Cole addressed the scrutiny in a social media post.

“For the people who still feel the need to be nasty towards me and send me disrespectful messages … I get that it’s easy to sit on your phone and look at a tiny glimpse of a person’s life and feel like you’re better than them,” LaNisha wrote to the critics.

“Yes, I’ve made mistakes. Yes, I’ve put myself through unnecessary pain and heartbreak. But I’m choosing to do better,” the artist shared. “I wouldn’t change a single thing about my journey because I’m in a beautiful place now and everything had to happen the way it did for me to get here,” LaNisha told her friends and foes. “I’ve made peace with every decision I’ve made in my life.”

Onyx is LaNisha Cole’s only child. Nick Cannon has twelve kids.
