Jason Derulo’s son with Jena Frumes is growing by leaps and bounds! The youngster celebrated his second birthday with an incredible party this past weekend.
“Growing too fast,” Jena wrote online this past Tuesday (May 9). “I love every moment with you @jasonking,” Frumes shared. “You are a dream come true,” the doting mom continued.
“Watching you have fun, learn, grow, and figure life out gives me all I need in this world. I love and adore you more than I can put into words. Thanks @jasonderulo for letting me go all out for our little man.”
Jena Frumes and Jason Derulo welcomed their son on May 8, 2021. Jason delved into why he decided to name his son after himself during an interview with PEOPLE.
“I wanted my name to continue to thrive, and I also thought that it would bring me closer to him,” Derulo shared. “He seems to really adore music already,” Jason continued when telling the press about his little one’s interests.
“From when he was in the womb, he would start kicking whenever I would play music on my phone, because every morning I played the song that I had did the night prior,” Jason said of little Jason’s knack for creativity. “Now, it’s the only thing that keeps him calm,” Derulo shared of his then-newborn. “He’ll be going crazy one minute and then you start playing some music and he’s okay.”
Jason King may decide to pursue a career in the music industry, or he may carve a path in fitness. “I want him to have a foundation in health and fitness,” Derulo shared. “I want to see what he gravitates towards, but I want to expose him to a lot so that he can choose his own way. But for me, it is a must that he does sports, for health reasons.”
Jason King is Jason Derulo and Jena Frumes’ only child together.
