Erykah Badu is twinnig with daughter Puma in new photos. In the snaps, the mother-daughter pair exude confidence and style as they sport matching wigs.
“We had a great shoot today,” Erykah shared of the images.
Earlier this year, Erykah and Puma Curry went viral after a photo of them from the back was posted. Many people criticized them for allegedly “objectifying and exploiting” their bodies for personal gain. In response, Badu joked that she had “got ’em uncomfortable” and asked people to wait till they saw their “hearts, minds, and spirits.”
Puma also responded to the backlash by posting a picture of her and her mom wearing form-fitting pants and asked, “What’s the real issue? Let’s discuss.” The mother-daughter pair have always been confident in their bodies and have never shied away from showing them off.
In an interview with HipHopDX, The D.O.C., Erykah Badu’s ex and the father of Puma, spoke about their relationship and how she even delivered his children with his new wife. He praised Badu, calling her his soulmate and describing her as “ethereal” and the “coolest person” he has ever spoken to.

“I owe Erykah everything,” the former N.W.A rapper said. “I owe her everything. I mean, Erykah is a soulmate. She brought amazing energy to this film in a lot of ways. She was really in touch with us in a lot of ways behind the scenes, and did a lot to help us push this thing forward. And just as a man went forward, my two sons, Erykah was the doula, she delivered my boys.”
Adding,“Honestly, she’s the coolest person that I’ve ever spoken to, ever. She is cool as fuck. I mean, she’s just got such a presence. I would describe her as ethereal.”
