Amerie is in celebration mode as her children’s book, which is inspired by her son, will soon be released. The celebrity mom took to Instagram to celebrate her son, River, as well as the book’s forthcoming debut.
Amerie wrote a special Valentine’s Day post to her son. “More Valentine’s Week with River + YOU WILL DO GREAT THINGS love,” Amerie said of her schedule. “#YouWillDoGreatThings will be released this March 28,” the celebrity mom exclaimed.
Fans will have the opportunity to see a different side of Amerie through her new picture book. “This book is for anyone who has kids, parents, anyone who has children in their lives,” the recording artist recently told VIBE. “It’s a great book for graduates as well, but essentially, this has everything that I wanted to tell my son when he was born, which I think is a very universal thing,” Amerie shared.
“The things that we want our children to know — letting them know all that we hope for them, and the belief that we have in them, and wanting them to know from the beginning — that we believe that they will do great things and that greatness lies within,” Amerie told the press.
River made Amerie and her husband, Lenny Nicholson, parents for the first time. “So much gratitude to have my son, my blessing, my shining star, my lil mochi, my butter-biscuit baby,” she said of her son on his third birthday. “‘Goodbye 2, Hello 3!’ as River likes to say.”
Motherhood has presented its fair share of challenges to for the celebrity mom. Still, the singer loves every moment of her life as a parent.
“I want to spend as much time as I can with my son,” Amerie said during a recent interview. “So that means if I spend any time [away from him] it’s because it’s really important to me,” the celebrity mom shared. “Things get cut away and you see the difference between what’s necessary and what’s not.”
Book lovers can buy You Will Do Great Things on March 28, 2023. The publication will be available wherever books are sold.
