Jeannie Mai Jenkins and Jeezy have a one year old on their hands! On Saturday, Jeannie Mai took to her Instagram to send well wishes to he baby girl.
“Happiest Birthday my Capricorn twin,” the television host wrote alonside a video montage showcasing her daughter throughout the year.
She continued, “One year ago, you made me a mom.. and girl you’ve transformed my life. You got me cursing less, doing laundry more, and gave me new followers from our content. You’re the best. We couldn’t celebrate you for just one day, but thru this whole month with fam near and far. We adore you our precious Monaco Mai Jenkins.”
During a recent appearance on People’s Every Day podcast, Jeannie Mai Jenkins reflected on being a mom, saying, “It is hard work, but I love every part of it. And it doesn’t feel like work. I gotta be honest with you. Having Monaco made me feel like I’ve been born again. It sounds so overly spiritual and almost religious. But no, I just mean that, like, I see through different eyes.”
She added, “My ears hear different sounds. My heart beats to a different melody. I’m just so amazed at how a little person could make you feel so good about yourself and so hopeful about life. You think that after, you know, after living 40 years, I’m like, I got this down. I’m in the bag. I understand what this world is like.”
Jeezy and Jeannie Mai tied the knot on March 27, 2021 after being engaged for one year. Shortly, they welcomed their daughter on January 21, 2022. For Jeannie Mai, Monaco’s birth completely transformed her life.
She continued, “That little person has completely awakened me to seeing the world a whole different way,” she said. “And the crazy thing is, my daughter gives me so much confidence. I like myself more as a mom. I like myself more getting up and taking care of somebody else and tending to her and watching her actually register things that we’ve worked so hard to teach her. I can’t believe, like, that’s such an accomplishment. I didn’t realize that.”
