Gabrielle Union is twinning with her daughter Kaavia James in new sweet photos! In the snaps, the mother-daughter pair can be seen rocking matching hairstyles created by stylist Wankaya Hinkson.
Union writes on Instagram, “Imitation IS the best form of flattery. @kaaviajames suggested I get the same hairstyle that she got and I was honored to oblige. Twinning is winning. Anything for her. Thank you @hairbywankaya.”
Union also made sure to shout out her haircare line, Flawless by Gabrielle Union (@flawlessbygu).
Union and husband Dwyane Wade welcomed their daughter Kaavia James via a surrogate back in November 2018. A year prior, the actress turned entrepreneur launched her hair line Flawless by Gabrielle Union while privately undergoing IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) therapy, which caused her to experience hair loss as an unfortunate side effect of the treatment.
In 2020, years after tirelessly working to identify the best options for restoring her hair to health, Union and her hairstylist Larry Sims relaunched the Flawless collection with improved ingredients.
In a previous interview with Instyle Magazine, Union revealed that her entire family uses the Flawless line. She said, “We’re a Flawless family. And what we have in my house are Flawless fiends. I told my family here’s the thing: “Sally’s is right down the street. This is my stuff.” I’d go into my shower and my stuff is missing.”
Adding. “And I’d go in my little sister’s, D’s shower, or Zaya‘s shower and there’s my stash. [laughs] Everyone borrows, (because it’s returned). But, we’re like regular consumers as well, and if something is on the verge of selling out, they go missing! People are hoarding that 5 Butter Masque, and Zaire’s home for the summer and his girlfriend, so I’m like, OK, I just lost four more butter masques. Somebody’s doing something.”
