We haven’t even completed a full week as of yet into the new year and Kim Kardashian is already facing backlash over a new North West TikTok video.
In the recently uploaded video, the nine-year-old used her special effects skills, transforming herself into the likeness of her famous father, Kanye West. The 42-year-old Kardashian wraps her arms around her daughter as the pair lip-syncs to Kanye’s 2013 “Bound 2” that is playing as the posts audio.

Of course, the internet has weighed in on several platforms and in various forums with nothing but criticism for the SKIMS founder.
One Reddit user posted, “It’s highly inappropriate. It would maybe be okay if Kim turned off the sexy for 2 seconds but with it…and the context…just gross and uncomfortable.
Another user commented, “She was literally naked in the music video to this song. It’s weird AF.”
Another commenter said: “It’s not North dressing up as Kanye that we find weird…What we find weird is Kim trying to be all sexy and sensual beside her daughter who is dressed up as her ex. Like ofc it’s normal for parents to dress up and roleplay with their kids but acting even remotely sexual beside them? If you find that sort of thing funny then…”
And one commenter even suggested that Kim simply should have told her daughter “no.”
“Why just why. Even if North had this idea Kim as her parent should’ve said no. This whole thing is uncomfy.”
Another agreed completely with that statement saying, “Oh lord. Like even if all of this was North’s idea, Kim you don’t need to indulge everything she wants. Or at least don’t post it.”
Kanye himself has been very vocal saying that he does not want his children on TikTok. Last year, if you remember, the controversial artist took the issue to social media, asking his followers to weigh-in on the subject.
“SINCE THIS IS MY FIRST DIVORCE I NEED TO KNOW WHAT I SHOULD DO ABOUT MY DAUGHTER BEING PUT ON TIK TOK AGAINST MY WILL ?” West, wrote alongside a screenshot of North’s TikTok.
Kim herself has recently said that she has found her groove with North on the social media platform. Perhaps we just have to wait and see what the rest of 2023 will bring for Kim and North’s TikTok account. This is definitely an interesting start for the pair to kick-off the year.
