Dana Heath is truly one busy teenager. If the 16-year-old’s face looks familiar, it should. She has been in hit shows such as Nickelodeon’s Danger Force, Henry Danger, Fancy Nancy, and more. Now she’s lending her voice to animation once again as princess Kira Kiwii as she is set to star in the new Netflix preschool animated series, Princess Power.
The new series is based on the New York Times bestselling book series by Savannah Guthrie and Allison Oppenheim, “Princesses Wear Pants.”
Parents, do you want to know what to expect from the upcoming series, that we are more than positive that your preschoolers will want to see? Well, here is a brief synopsis of the action according to JustJaredJr.com.
Princess Power is “a celebration of girl power and self-expression that follows princesses of four major fruit kingdoms: Kira Kiwi, Beatrice “Bea” Blueberry, Rita Raspberry, and Penelope “Penny” Pineapple. These princesses embrace their differences and become stronger together to help their fellow fruitizens and make their world a better place. Princess Power’s whimsical, aspirational joy comes with a timely message: that it’s not just what you wear but what you do that makes all the difference.”
In addition to Heath, the voice cast also includes: includes Trinity Jo-Li Bliss, (Avatar: The Way of Water), as Princess Rita Raspberry, Luna Bella Zamora as Princess Penny Pineapple and Madison Calderon as Princess Bea Blueberry, as well as Alanna Ubach as Miss Fussywiggles, the cat.
The series will also feature famed actress Rita Moreno as Great Aunt Busyboots, Andrew Rannells as King Barton, Tan France as Sir Benedict, Jenna Ushkowitz as Queen Ryung and Ciera Payton as Queen Katia.
Savannah Guthrie and Allison Oppenheim will both serve as executive producers on the upcoming series, in addition to Drew Barrymore. Princess Power will debut on Netflix on January 30th!
