Jayln Hall is really keeping busy as he is becoming one of the sought after faces in #younghollywood. As he is fresh off of the success from his role as Emmett Till in the movie, Till, the 16-year-old is set to play another Historical figure. Jayln Hall is set to star as a young Martin Luther King in an upcoming anthology series by National Geographic/Disney+, entitled, Genius: MLK/X.

According to Deadline, Kelvin Harrison Jr. (The Trial of the Chicago 7) will play the adult Martin Luther King Jr in the upcoming anthology series. Genius: MLK/X will focus on and follow the particulars of the relationship between Martin Luther King Jr and Malcolm X, who will be portrayed by Aaron Pierre.
Also per Deadline, Genius: MLK/X will also star Weruche Opia as Coretta Scott King, Jayme Lawson as Betty Shabazz and Ron Cephas Jones as Elijah Muhammad. The pilot episode will be directed by Channing Godfrey Peoples (Miss Juneteenth). Peoples will also serve as co-executive producer for the project was well.

As mentioned, Genius: MLK/X isn’t the only iron that Hall has in the fire. He has landed a lead role, Darious, in the upcoming film Bruiser. According to IMDb, Bruiser follows the story of a 14-year-old boy turns to a charismatic loner for help after being beaten up. [The…] Miles Warren searing feature debut [is] about fathers, families, and the effects of fighting.
Bruiser premiered to overwhelming success in the Discovery section of the Toronto Film Festival. The project, that was acquired by Disney’s Onyx Collective, will also stars Trevante Rhodes and Shamier Anderson.
If Hall’s face looks familiar, it should. The talented young man is a regular on a CW fan favorite, All American. Hall has portrayed Dillon James in the series since 2018.
