Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz are in celebration mode as they commemorate their youngest son Genesis Dean’s latest milestone. The youngster turned eight years old on Tuesday (Dec. 27).
“Happy Birthday to the realist,” Swizz wrote to his son. “Eight years,” the celebrity father continued. “Wow,” Swizz shared “We love you.”
Alicia Keys also took to social media with love for Genesis on his special day. “You are the sun, the moon, and the stars,” the celebrity mom wrote to her son. “You are so tremendous and strong and spicy,” Keys added. “No one can EVER forget you,” the recording artist declared.
“I Can’t believe you’re 8,” Alicia told Genesis. “You are the most clear, honest, and hysterically blunt person I’ve ever met! I’m so excited for your life! For everything coming your way! We’re so blessed to share this life with you. We love you so much, young King! Happy born day!”
Genesis is one of two children Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz have together. The celebrity couple also parents three kids who are his biological children from previous relations. Alicia Keys recently sat down with PEOPLE to talk about her life as a mom.
“Everything with me is about wellness,” the celebrity mom shared. “I found that like for me as a writer, I really needed to get back into my journaling because I was getting all backed up in my head, and I was feeling all these things but I wasn’t really able to express them,” Keys revealed.
“Getting back into my journaling really opened a space for me, and it made me become more creative too because I was kind of stuffing that down,” the recording artist told the press. “I think the world is so loud and everything’s so noisy – and a lot of times we feel like we have to be like everybody else or do what everybody else will approve of, and it’s really hard to find your own within you.”
