Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade enjoyed Thanksgiving Day with their family. The couple’s daughter, Kaavia James, absolutely stole the show with her fantastic karaoke vibes.
The youngster sang a few songs, including ‘Girl On Fire’ by Alicia Keys, while wearing her holiday dress, which was simply stylish. “Thankful for family, friends, amazing food @chefrli @chefpratt2 @rache.pratt PERFECT vibes @chefronndarocks @ronndarocksevents and karaoke,” Gabrielle Union said of her family’s holiday event.
Many fans could not get enough of Kaavia’s boldness when singing karaoke. “She is her parent’s child,” one social media follower exclaimed. “All she needs is her stage name and she’s ready to take over the karaoke scene,” another fan shared.
Kaavia James enjoyed a festive holiday alongside her parents after a beautiful trip to Africa. Gabrielle Union shared the life-changing water ritual she experienced while in Africa during a recent interview.
“We had a chance to physically get into the river and say our prayers and call to our ancestors,” Union shared with the press. “A few years ago, they had done a ceremony so that I could have my child, and they did a similar ceremony for my husband and I this time round,” the actress said.
“We were all separate from each other, and in the distance, I see D with his arms outstretched as one of the chiefs pours water on him. Next thing I know, he lets out a scream,” Gabrielle said of Dwyane Wade’s reaction to the ritual, which pays tribute to the final bath Africans took before entering the Atlantic Slave Trade.
“Some people are crying; some are silently weeping; some are anguished,” Union said. “It’s a boiling day, and as we walk out of the water, the skies open up, and it’s a torrential downpour out of the blue,” the actress shared of her experience.
“I’d never been more clear,” Gabrielle said of her life’s purpose. “My soul has never felt cleaner or lighter,” she continued. “It’s my superhero origin story. If you thought I was a troublemaker before, you have no f*cking idea what’s coming.”
Kaavia James is Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade’s only biological child. The celebrity couple parents four kids in all.
