Devale Ellis and his wife, Khadeen Ellis, were in full celebration mode after commemorating their son’s first birthday earlier this month. Dakota Marley Ellis officially became a one-year-old on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.
“THIS IS 1,” Devale said of his son. “Happy Birthday Dakota Marley Ellis A.K.A. ‘Kota Bear’ A.KA. ‘Mr. Relentless’ A.K.A. ‘Mama’s Baby’ A.K.A ‘Kay Junior’ A.K.A. ‘Mr. I Do It My Way’ A.K.A ‘FOUR!’” Khadeen also took to Instagram to celebrate Dakota’s special day.
“There’s just something about you sweet baby,” the social media influencer wrote to her son. “I can’t really explain it but I’m so into you,” Khadeen exclaimed. “Happiest 1st my Dakota Marley! You’ve completed our family in the most perfect way! You came into this world at home surrounded by love and happiness. You give us the same in return every single day. I adore you my sweet little bear!”
Khadeen and Devale Ellis welcomed their youngest son last November by way of an at-home labor and delivery experience. Devale deemed his wife a “superhero” because of her strength when giving birth.
“She delivered our 4th son in our bathroom 9 months after moving into our dream home,” the celebrity father shared with his fans. “Dakota is a gift from God we conceived our first night in this dwelling that I promised her over a decade ago,” Devale told his social media fans last week.
“After almost losing [Khadeen] during delivery with our first (Jax) I promised her that I would create a safe haven for her to deliver our children surrounded by loved ones and covered in love,” the Single Black Female star revealed in his social media post that expressed gratitude for his wife. “It took me some time and two natural childbirths in between (Roro & Kaz) but she never complained,” Devale shared with his Instagram followers. “She just continued to do what her body was created to do and walked in her power,” he added.
“Fast forward to November 8th, 2021, Kay Kay and I were living in our promise to each other as she delivered our 4th son Dakota surrounded by powerful mothers including both of ours,” the celebrity father told his supporters.”God is good, life is great, my wife is amazing and our family is complete,” Devale shared on his son’s first birthday. “I love you, baby,” the actor wrote to his wife. “Thank you so much for EVERYTHING.”
