Gossip Girl fans rejoice! Whitney Peak and the new Gossip Girl cast are gearing up to return for season two. And, they are bringing a beloved OG character along for the ride.
Are you clapping too? Because, we sure are! What was previously reveled is definitely true. Beloved OG bad girl, Georgina Sparks, portrayed by Michelle Trachtenberg, will reprise her famous role. If you remember, Georgina’s son Max made an appearance in season one, and fans immediately recognized the family resemblance in more ways than one.
So, just what else can fans of the show expect from season two? Well, below is a synopsis according to JustJaredJr.com.
It’s the second semester of Junior year, and Gossip Girl is leaving no stone unturned in her effort to control the scandalous lives/spin the scandalous lies of Manhattan’s elite. She’s learned a thing or two from her first go-round — namely what her audience wants, they shall get.
It’s time for her to turn the heat up on what’s been simmering (Julien, have you met Monet?) as well as look at her own impact, and how she can make it more catastrophic than it was before. Even if that means lying to do it.
Old enemies, new allies, constantly shifting sands — this semester, there can only be one queen, and by the end of the school year, everyone will know where the bodies are buried, and just who was holding the shovel.
In addition to Peak, the new Gossip Girl stars – Jordan Alexander, Eli Brown, Thomas Doherty, Tavi Gevinson, Emily Alyn Lind, Evan Mock, Zion Moreno, and Savannah Lee Smith. New face, Grace Duah will join the cast full time this season after making two appearances in show’s debut season.
We are definitely glad that Peak is returning to the show to reprise her role as Zoya Lott. But, just because Gossip Girl was on hiatus, doesn’t mean that the talented 19-year-old Canadian wasn’t busy. She starred in a recent Chanel campaign, featuring the Chanel 22 bags.
And, if you have seen Hocus Pocus 2, you are well aware of the fact that our favorite Upper East Side transplant has a starring role there too!
Peak has definitely been busy during her time off.
You still have time to catch up on season one of the incredible reboot. The new season kicks-off on HBO Max on December 1, just in time for us all to have Christmas with our favorite Upper East Siders.
