Malik Beasley and his family are in celebration mode. Not only did the NBA player celebrate his son’s seventh birthday on Saturday (Oct. 1), but Maik and his wife, Montana Yao, are also preparing for baby number two. The star athlete took to Instagram with his excitement.
“What’s good Utah,” Malik asked in his greeting. “Year 7 for the kid, with another one on the way,” the celebrity father shared with his supporters. “It’s about to be a lit year,” Beasley declared.
Some may remember Malik Beasley and Montana Yao’s marital problems that surfaced last year. The celebrity father wrote a public apology to his wife after questioning the paternity of their son last Spring.
“I wanna say sorry for putting you in the situation you were put in the last few months,” Malik wrote to Montana. “My head wasn’t where it was supposed to be,” he admitted. “I was looking for more when it was right here that whole time. I’m telling the world and you that there’s nobody like you for me.”
Montana Yao filed to divorce her husband after he was caught in compromising circumstances with Larsa Pippen. The situation became scandalous to the degree of Montana distancing herself from her husband. Malik’s public apology after the dust settled extended to his son who was also affected by the drama.
“I ain’t perfect and I definitely thought I was,” Beasley wrote to his little one. “I will make up for the time that I have missed and the struggles I have put you through,” the star athlete promised. “Daddy has been working on himself.”
Many were unaware of Malik and Montana’s expectancy. Fans were sure to give congratulatory remarks upon learning of the Beasleys’ family expansion. “So excited for your growing family,” one fan shared. “Hugs and love to you,” the supporter shared.
Montana Yao and Malik Beasley are expecting their second child to arrive in the coming weeks.
