Haddad Brands made a significant mark during New York Fashion Week (NYFW). The company in charge of many styles by Levi’s®, Converse, Jordan, Hurley, and Nike kicked off the week with its 12th Annual Rookie USA Fashion Show at 608 Fifth Avenue on Friday, September 9, 2022.
Victor Cruz and his kids were among other celebrities who walked the runway at the NIKE show on Friday. The celebrity father and his daughter, Kennedy, were in the spotlight as they showed off the brand’s new designs.
This year’s Rookie USA Fashion Show benefitted fashion designer and philanthropist Maluma. The creator runs a foundation called El Arte De Los Sueños, which serves to benefit at-risk youth in Medellin, Colombia. Maluma is a native of Colombia and his hometown is Medellin. The artist has a central vision to bridge the gap between creativity and dreams youth may have to make a positive impact on society.
El Arte De Los Sueños encourages expression through song, composition, percussion, dance, and other forms of creative art. Maluma and his sister, Manuela Londono, were present to host the 12th Annual Rookie USA Fashion Show this past Friday.
“We are so proud of all the children who came out tonight to strut the catwalk,” Fran Boller, SVP Marketing for Haddad Brands, said after the show. “We’re very proud of how they all rocked the runway with their parents there supporting and cheering them on,” Boller shared. “And we are proud to partner with our very first Latin charity, Maluma’s El Arte De Los Sueños,” the executive added.
In addition to showing off the latest fashion within its family of popular brands, Haddad also showcased amazing talent at its fashion show during NYFW. R&B singer Samaria and local group Brooklyn United rendered musical selections onstage. DJ Sophia Rocks provided the soundtrack the models used when walking the catwalk.
