Disney+ fans are about to rejoice even more so now that the streaming giant has dropped a teaser trailer and the season two premiere date for The Mysterious Benedict Society. Get ready to join actor Seth Carr and his castmates on another amazing adventure.

In addition to Carr, Tony Hale returns as both Mr. Benedict and Dr. L.D. Curtian, along with the rest of the society: Kristen Schaal, MaameYaa Boafo, Ryan Hurst, Gia Sandhu, Emmy DeOliveira, Mystic Inscho and Marta Kessler.

The Mysterious Benedict Society is based on a YA book series which was written by Trenton Lee Stewart. The adventurous series in its first season took viewers on twists and turns as it follows the lives of four orphans who are mysteriously summoned to a boarding school simply known as “The Institute.”

When the kids discover that Mr. Benedict and Number Two have been kidnapped, they must piece together the riddles and clues within a perilous scavenger hunt set by Mr. Benedict to foil Curtain’s latest scheme. Relying on only their wits, intellect, and empathy, the charming group of misfits embark on a globe-trotting adventure by air, land, sea and pie truck, calling upon their special skills to solve the mysteries and rescue their lost comrades. Along the way, the kids experience the growing pains that come along with being part of their new “found family,” while remaining true to their unique selves. In the process, they discover what true happiness really means.
“This show has been an absolute thrill to work on and I’m so thankful to the fans and Disney for the opportunity to keep telling this incredible story,” Tony Hale, who portrays both Mr. Benedict and Mr. Curtain in the series, shared in a previous statement.
Co-creators and writers Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay, and co-showrunners Darren Swimmer and Todd Slavin, echoed Hale’s excitement in a joint statement about their project.
