The popular social media chef is headed to television as Nickelodeon drops trailer for the upcoming cooking show, The Tiny Chef Show.
According to Deadline, The Tiny Chef Show developed a cult following through its short-form stop-motion animation. The Tiny Chef, voiced by Matt Hutchinson, cooks, sings, and lives his life in his tree-stump house. And now, the tiny chef’s tree-stump house will have the spotlight shown on it even brighter as Nickelodeon and Imagine Kids+Family will partner to make him bigger than life.
“The Tiny Chef stole my heart when he taught me how to make a tiny apron, and I know he will take everyone’s hearts like he took mine,” said Ramsey Naito, Executive Vice President, Nickelodeon Animation Production and Development. “Brian Robbins and I want to thank everyone at Imagine Kids+Family as we welcome The Chef to Nickelodeon.”
“We have worked with some of the biggest stars in the business, and we could not be more excited to also now work with the tiniest! The Chef and his team have created a vibrant, inclusive, and community-based world and we at Imagine are thrilled to share it with audiences, big and small,” said Imagine Entertainment Executive Chairmen Brian Grazer and Ron Howard, jointly.
The pair continued, “Brian Robbins and his team at Nickelodeon created the gold standard in kids’ entertainment and the perfect home for this series.”
The Tiny Chef Show will air on Nickelodeon on September 9.
However, fans of the show can not expect the tiny chef to cook alone. Many famous faces will join in on the cooking fun including special guests: Josh Dela Cruz (Blue’s Clues & You!), That Girl Lay Lay and Keith L Williams (The Astronauts), as well as Kristen Bell, (who is also an executive producer on the show), Sky & Ocean Brown, Tabitha Brown, Josh Gad, Liza Koshy and RZA. Additionally, each episode will feature RuPaul as the voice announcer.
