DaniLeigh is celebrating her life as a mom. The recording artist took to Instagram on Sunday (May 8) to commemorate her first Mother’s Day as a mom.

Dani shared her daughter’s name with her social media fans. “For Velour,” she wrote to her daughter. “[I] can’t believe I’m your mommy,” DaniLeigh continued. “Thank you for being the biggest blessing and giving me purpose,” the celebrity mom wrote to her daughter. “I love you, my lover girl,” Dani wrote online. “Happy Mother’s Day to all my beautiful moms today! It’s your day.”
Velour made DaniLeigh a mom for the first time last August. The ‘Easy’ singer shared the news of her expectancy months before giving birth, which was nothing short of confirmation for many social media followers who suspected she was pregnant. Fans also believed DaBaby to be the father of her child, which was also true.
DaniLeigh and DaBaby suffered a very public breakup when Velour was just 3-months-old. DaBaby recorded the breakup and accused his ex of becoming combative with him because he asked her to leave their condo. Dani, however, came with a different story.
“We’ve been living with each other for the past three months since our baby been (sic) born,” DaniLeigh told her supporters. “Tonight he wanna come in the room talkin’ about I need to go, don’t matter where I go,” she continued. “Mind you, I have a newborn child. So he said I can go to a hotel … This man is mad because I had a plan B sent to his condo.”
DaBaby filed formal charges against the mother of his child for allegedly assaulting him. Meanwhile, DaniLeigh thanked her fans for supporting her. “Done dragging this,” the recording artist said. “I’m done,” DaniLeigh declared. “I’m sorry. Off the internet. I can’t see all this. Focusing on my girl. I’m quiet.”
