Young philanthropist and author, Jahkil Jackson has just released his sophomore book, “Don’t Wait To Be Great.”
We first met Jahkil with the creation of his “Project I Am,” back when he was ten-years-old. The Chicago-native captured the spirit of true altruism when he made it his mission to give out Blessing Bags to the homeless. Blessing Bags contain basic items that those in need can use to help improve their lives.
Fast-forward three years, with his spirit to continue to help and encourage others, and the fact that Jahkil knew the sting of being bullied, he took pen in hand and wrote his first book, “I Am,” which became an Amazon best-seller.” According to the book’s official website, “I Am” is:
…a perfect read for classroom (virtual or in person) discussions and youth groups. “I Am” is geared toward helping kids implement values that can help with navigating bullying experiences and build a strong sense of self-worth. Complete with a self-affirmation exercise, this book is a creative display of how to have belief in oneself and to not be concerned with negative influences.
The amazing now 14-year-old has not slowed down at all. He has released a second book entitled, “Don’t Wait To Be Great” “Don’t Wait To Be Great” talks about how Jahkil started his non-profit charity organization at just 10-years-old and how he became a philanthropist at the tender age of 7-years-old.

According to his website, Jahkil has been named a Youth Ambassador for the Heartland Alliance. He is a member of the WE International Youth Council, and has received several awards, honors, and acknowledgements by multiple entities. One truly amazing accolade that Jahkil has on his resume is that he was named one of 2017’s most influential people by former President Barack Obama.
This is just the beginning for Jahkil and his amazing journey. We cannot wait to see what the future holds for this truly phenomenal young man.
