Thanksgiving is right around the corner and many students will be home from school, looking for some fun things to do. We got you covered! Here are five Thanksgiving movies from the experts to get the entire family in the holiday mood!
1. A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving
This holiday classic unquestionably has to top the list.
Synopsis: When Peppermint Patty, in her characteristic bold fashion, invites herself and other friends over to Charlie Brown’s for a Thanksgiving dinner, Charlie Brown panics! All he knows how to cook is cereal and toast! Hijinks and hilarity, of course, ensue, as do lessons about friendship, gratitude, and generosity. And, of course, since it’s Charlie Brown and Thanksgiving, you can bet there’s a classic football bit thrown in for good measure.

2. Garfield’s Thanksgiving
Garfield is one fat cat that we can always count on for food and fun.
Synopsis: Poor Garfield. Of all the days for a vet appointment, the day before Thanksgiving has to be the least fun. And things get worse when his vet, concerned about his weight, recommends a diet… again right before Thanksgiving. And to make matters worse, Jon, smitten with this vet, has invited her to Thanksgiving dinner. Of course, Jon knows nothing about cooking much less how to host Thanksgiving. Soon it’s Grandma to the rescue!

3. Addams Family Values
They are kookie and creepy, but do know how to celebrate Thanksgiving in a bit way. However, this movie may not be suitable for little ones.
Synopsis: In this sequel to The Addams Family, one of the most memorable Thanksgiving scenes is featured. Wednesday Addams gives an honest Thanksgiving speech, calling out the historical truths behind the holiday during a Thanksgiving Day play at Camp Chippewa.

4. Free Birds

Synopsis: Reggie, portrayed by Owen Wilson, is the smartest gobbler in his flock—and a smart you-know-what. He knows his pals are just being fattened up for Thanksgiving, but they don’t particularly care because, well, you know what they say about turkeys. As luck would have it, Reggie meets up with Jake, portrayed by Woody Harrelson, who has a magic doorknob that leads them to a time machine that takes them back to the very first Thanksgiving.

After dinner, it’s officially time for Christmas! What better way to kick-off the Christmas season than with the adorable 2020 Netflix hit, Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey.
