Young Dolphin’s long-time love, Mia Jaye, is breaking her silence days after the rapper was murdered in Memphis earlier this week.
Mia took to Instagram to thank her supporters while also expressing sadness in having to tell her and Young Dolphin’s kids, Tre and Aria, that their father has passed. “The question is … how do I tell my kids that dad is never coming home,” Mia asked in a social media post. “God give me strength,” Jaye continued. “Adolf, I love you with all my heart and soul,” the celebrity wrote to her late boyfriend.
Young Dolphin was murdered outside of a cookie shop in Memphis on Wednesday (Nov. 18). The rapper was in town to give out turkeys to less fortunate families for Thanksgiving.

Mia Jaye took to Instagram months before Young Dolphin’s untimely passing to advocate for Black men having long and healthy lives. “Why do Black men deserve to grow old,” Mia Jaye asked in her social media post. “Because it is their Birthright,” the celebrity mom exclaimed. “When God created each individual, he assigned them a task to fulfill and when these men are taken from this world prematurely, that Task … Purpose … Assignment may be left undone.”
“The task might be to raise children. To pour all of their wisdom, power and strength into them so that, they can fulfill their purpose when they become a Man, and that child deserves to grow old too!”
Young Dolphin is recognized as both an incredible rapper and phenomenal father among his fans and peers. Dozens of supporters and celebrities gave support to Mia Jaye upon getting wind of her partner’s death.
“So sorry Queen,” Torrei Hart wrote online. “Sending my deepest condolences to you and your family,” Toya Johnson shared online.
Young Dolphin was 36-years-old at the time of his passing.
