101 Dalmatians was the focal point of the Bryants’ costumes. Capri and Bianka wore matching outfits while their older sister, Natalia, wore a black and white outfit with hair accessories that were in fashion sync with her younger siblings. Vanessa was Cruella for Halloween 2021. “Look for the good spots in life,” the celebrity mom wrote in reference to the film and the family’s costume vibes.

Vanessa Bryant has certainly shown the world how to make lemonade from lemons. The celebrity mom recently shared how she learned her husband, Kobe Bryant, and daughter, Gianna Bryant, were killed in a helicopter accident last January.

“They weren’t prepared,” Vanessa shared with the press regarding her trip to the Sheriff’s station after getting wind of the accident. Fans began sharing “RIP Kobe” before Mrs. Bryant officially learned that her husband and daughter passed away. “We got there and I kept asking if my husband and my daughter were OK. No one would answer me,” Vanessa shared. “They walked me into this little closet area — it looked like a closet. It had a sofa and some kids’ toys. I waited there and I said, ‘Are they OK?’ No one would answer me.”

Sheriff Alex Villanueva arrived at the office to inform Vanessa Bryant that her husband and daughter were among the deceased. The celebrity mom then requested that the area be sealed off so outsiders could neither see nor take pictures of the accident.

“I said, ‘If you can’t bring my husband and baby back, please make sure no one takes photographs of them,'” Vanessa said regarding her request given to the Sheriff.” And he said, ‘I will,'” the celebrity mom added. “I was afraid of fans or drones or helicopters getting images of my husband and my daughter and our friends.”

Drones and paparazzi did not take pictures of the accident. Sheriff deputies on the scene, however, did snap a few photos, which were shared internally. Vanessa Bryant got wind of the activity and sued the department. The celebrity mom won her case last week.

“I don’t think it’s right that I have to deal with this; that my kids have to deal with this when they get older and they become aware of what happened; that our friends have to deal with this,” Vanessa said in her deposition. “I just don’t understand how someone can have no regard for life and compassion, and, instead, choose to take that opportunity to photograph lifeless and helpless individuals for their own sick amusement.”

January 26, 2022, will mark two years since Kobe and Gianna Bryant were killed in the helicopter crash that also claimed the lives of six other passengers as well as that of the aircraft’s pilot. Vanessa Bryant continues to carry on her husband’s legacy through books and their sports institution.
