Nick Cannon is comedic at heart. The Wild ‘N Out star recently sat down with Kevin Hart on his Hart to Heart show, and Nick took time to joke about his fathering seven kids.
“I don’t know that,” Cannon told Hart when asked how many kids he fathers. “You’re gonna put me on the spot,” Nick jokingly asked. “It’s like Spades, I got eight and a possible nine,” Cannon added. “I like children, d*mn it,” the celebrity father exclaimed.
Nick Cannon welcomed his seventh child with Wild ‘N Out cast member Alyssa Scott a few weeks ago. The little one arrived weeks after Nick welcomed twins with businesswoman Abby De La Rosa.

“I always used to joke around that I wanted the 12 tribes [but] somewhere 10 to 12 [kids],” Nick Cannon said during a recent interview with The Breakfast Club. “I have learned so much from my children and it’s so amazing,” the celebrity father shared. “I really love being around my kids,” Nick continued.
“Just that youthful energy,” the celebrity father added. “It feels like you get to relive every time. And I think because I have been through so much in my life physically, mentally, and spiritually, the best place I find is the time that I spend with my kids.”
Some have criticized Nick Cannon for having children with multiple women. The celebrity father, however, defended his decision to have a blended family during his interview with The Breakfast Club.
“Why do people question that,” Nick asked in response to backlash about him having kids with multiple women. “The idea is that you’re supposed to have this one person for the rest of your life,” Cannon shared. “And really that’s just to classify property when you think about it,” the celebrity father said.
“We shouldn’t have anything,” Nick further explained. “I have no ownership over this person. If we’re really talking about how we co-exist and how we populate, it’s about what exchange can we create together? So I’ve never really subscribed to that mentality.”
Nick Cannon has twins, Monroe and Moroccan, with Mariah Carey in addition to his twin sons with Abby De La Rosa. The celebrity father also has two kids, Powerful and Golden, with beauty queen Brittany Bell.
