Fans are not happy about Lil Scrappy and Safaree’s behavior during Monday night’s showing of Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta (LHHATL). Many were taken aback by the celebrities’ responses to their wives during Bambi and Erica Mena’s dual baby showers.
Both Scrappy and Safaree seemingly ignored their wives at the event. “Here we are at a baby shower my friend threw for us, and he’s not even acknowledging me or his daughter,” Erica said during the episode’s interview segment. Mena was speaking with Rasheeda and Sierra Gates at the baby shower as well.
Safaree heard the chatter and ultimately decided to leave the event because of what he perceived as negative energy. Medeecees, Kirk Frost, and Lil Scrapy were shocked as they watched the recording artist leave his wife at what should have been a celebration of their family’s expansion.
“He disregards and disrespects how I feel all the time and he runs away,” Erica said of her husband during the episode’s interview segment. “He’s always going to put himself before us,” Mena tearfully declared. “He doesn’t want to be here,” she added. “He doesn’t want to be my husband. He just gave me the message that I needed.”
Bambi was also going through marital issues at the baby shower. In fact, Bambi told Rasheeda in a private conversation that she believed divorce may be a good idea. “I want him to leave,” Bambi revealed during the conversation. “I’m pretty sure he agrees,” she added. “Neither one of us came here with our rings on today.”
Sierra and Erica got wind of Scrappy and Bambi’s marital woes during a luncheon. “Scrap, he just don’t f*ck*ng understand,” Bambi told her friends. “This has been a difficult pregnancy for me,” she added.
“The other weekend he was like, ‘I’m going to Miami to record.’ And I’m like, ‘Going to record what?’ [And he said], ‘Oh, just to catch a vibe in the studio.’ And I’m like, ‘So, I’m here. The doctor said not to carry my babies up and down the stairs. You can record at home, or down the street, or wherever.’ I don’t have any type of support. And I’m like, ‘What the f*ck am I married for?'”
It did not take fans long to blast Safaree and Lil Scrappy for their perceived behaviors during the dual baby shower. “Both these dudes need to understand that their wives are super emotional and hormonal,” one LHHATL viewer declared. “You can’t take their sh*t personally. Your job as the husband is to take it, say I’m sorry, and figure out how to make them happy. That’s your only job.” Another critic wrote, “C’mon now Safaree and Scrappy. Your women are pregnant. You can’t leave them, bro.”
Bambi and Scrappy welcomed their third child together last month. Safaree and Erica Mena’s son, Legend Samuels, was born in June.
