Ludacris gave his oldest daughter, Karma Bridges, a beautiful birthday message earlier this week. The rapper announced the launch of his new Netflix show, Karma’s World, which is based on Karma’s life.
Some may remember Karma’s World as a website. Ludacris launched the platform as a way to provide an outlet for kids to enjoy. Karma’s World the website shut down a few years ago. The vision, however, has evolved into a children’s television series for young Netflix users to enjoy.
“This is the story of dreams to reality 100%, and that’s who I am,” Ludacris said of the series that centers around a 10-year-old girl with big dreams to find success in the music industry. “As we all grew up, there was something that was a staple of our childhood that helped to form who we are as individuals and things we’ll never forget,” Luda continued.
“There were certain shows that helped build us, build our confidence, that we looked to as a form of entertainment, but also just to brighten our entire lives up,” Ludacris further explained. “I think that’s exactly what I want Karma’s World to do for many children and many people in this new generation.”
Ludacris has been quite involved with empowering the next generation. It was just last year that the rapper launched KidNation, which teaches children about the value of teamwork and spreading positive vibes throughout society.
“We have a song about doing your chores and getting rewarded afterward,” Ludacris recently said of the content on KidNation. “My youngest daughter watched it one time and pulled a stool up to the sink and started washing the dishes,” the celebrity father continued. “I asked, ‘What are you doing?’ And she said, ‘My birthday is coming up, and I want to be able to get a reward for doing my chores as well.’ That’s a perfect example of music and influence turning to action.”
You can catch Karma’s World on Netflix this fall!
