Ciara, Russell Wilson, and their three kids cheered on the Seattle Sounders at their game against the LAFC on Saturday.
Taking to her Instagram earlier today, Ciara shared photos of her family at the game with the caption, “My Heart is Full #Family.”
Ciara and Russell became official co-owners of the Seattle Sounders back in August 2019. The celebrity couple joined ten other families in purchasing the team from the previous owner, Joe Roth.
After acquiring the team, Ciara announced the partnership on her Instagram, saying, “A Day I’ll Always Cherish! @DangeRussWilson and I are fired up to announce we are Team Owners of the Seattle @SoundersFC one of the best soccer franchises in the world! We can’t wait for our kids to grow up loving Soccer! Family is everything! Football and Futbol is Family!”
She later posted a sweet message to her daughter, Sienna Wilson, encouraging her to dream big.
“Baby Girl, You will be able to do anything you put your mind to if you simply believe! Never walk in a room thinking of what you can’t do because of your gender! If you think it, it’s possible. If you dream it, it’s possible. If you believe it, it’s possible. It’s that simple.”
She continued, “There’s only a small handful of female owners of any Major League Sports team, and I’m proud to be one of them! You are next Baby Girl! I have no doubt that by the time you’re my age, there will be many more! Go Si Si mama! …And to every girl in this world, you can do anything you want to do and be anything you want to be! It truly possible if you believe,” she ended.
Russell has also spoken about wanting to own his own teams. “I think after I’m done playing there’s a lot that I want to do,” the NFL player said during a past interview. “Obviously, I want to own teams,” Russell continued. “I love sports, I love organizations, I love culture. I love being around people. I love success, I love winning. I love being around it. And those are always great experiences for me, so I want to be able to impact people’s lives that way and fans and everything else,” he concluded.
