Fatherhood has influenced every aspect of Travis Scott’s life. The celebrity father tells i-D how his daughter, Stormi Webster, has reshaped his perspective and career.
“Fatherhood influences my job,” Scott tells the British magazine. “It has a huge impact,” the celebrity father adds. “It’s a major inspiration.”
Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner welcomed their daughter on February 1, 2018. The celebrities did not confirm their expectancy despite rumors that spread the news of Kylie’s pregnancy before the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star could say anything. Instead, Kylie and Travis released a loving message to their daughter, which was uploaded to Kylie’s YouTube channel, on Stormi’s birthdate.
“I don’t live for myself anymore,” Travis says when speaking on his life as a parent. “I was already going so hard for the fans and now, oh man, Stormi, it’s like … I love that.”
Stormi has certainly influenced her father’s daily habits. It was just a few months ago that Travis Scott paused his Fortnite gaming activities online to attend to his daughter. The experience was supposed to be an “Astronomical” concert given by Scott for his fans. Stormi, however, had other plans as she demanded to hold her father’s phone.
“I want it,” Stormi told her father. “You want it,” Travis asked before giving his daughter the phone that he was using to connect to his 250,000 Fortnite fans. “Want to say hi and bye,” Scott asked. Stormi was all for greeting her dad’s fans.
“She’s just acting like a kid,” Travis tells i-D. “She’s always interested, she catches on and learns things and adapts to things so fast.”
The celebrity father goes on to say, “I realized my job is way more important than what I thought because of her. More responsibility, you know? You’ve got to use that properly.”
