Ciara took to her Instagram on Wednesday to share the sweetest video of son Future Zahir calling Russell Wilson daddy! In the clip, Future and his sister, Sienna, can be seen lying on top of Wilson while he lies stretched out on a massage table.
“I got a SIFU sandwich, y’all”, Russell says in the video. The NFL player explains that S.I.F.U stands for ‘Sienna Future Sandwich.’
Future then says, “Daddy, you out cold? You breathing?”
“Aww, I love you guys”, Russell responds.
It should come as no surprise that Future Jr., whose biological father is rap star Future, refers to his step-dad as ‘Daddy’.
Russell also referred to himself as Future Jr.’s “daddy” in a touching birthday message to his step-son on Instagram on May 19, 2020.
He wrote in a post to the six year old, “You are my daily inspiration. My best friend…Full of Love, Joy, and Grace. I thank Jesus everyday for who you are & being able to lead & guide you. Your future is forever endless and I pray you swim into every opportunity and obstacle in life with this much Love and Enthusiasm. Happy 6th Birthday Future! Daddy loves you”
Future Jr.’s dad, musician Future (born Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn), also wished his child a happy birthday saying, “It’s your day TWIN, more life more love and blessings…stay true to yourself always put God 1st…Big Six.” In another message, the rapper wrote, “Happy Birthday FUTURE. Love u FOREVER twin.”
During a chat with Buzzfeed in 2019, Wilson shared that being a step-parent to Future Zahir has taught him how to love. “And I think ultimately—you know the thing that I’ve learned the most and I think this is real, the thing that I’ve learned the most is that being a stepdad and then also having our little daughter as well, being a stepdad, you really find out what love’s like. It’s interesting. It’s easy to love somebody that’s blood and everything else, but when you can love somebody just like it’s your own child and everything else, that’s what real love is like.”

Wilson also shared this advice to parents of blended families, saying, “In terms of tips, I mean, you know being there for your kids, you know, tucking them down, putting them to bed, going to as many things as you can.”
