Russell Westbrook introduced his Jordan ‘Why Not?’ Zero0.4 collection to social media with the help of his kids. The celebrity father’s son, Noah, and twin daughters, Skye and Jordyn, modeled the shoes alongside their father for Instagram fans.
“My new #WhyNot Zer0.4 ‘Upbringing’ launches tomorrow,” Russell shared on Tuesday (Jan. 5). “This colorway celebrates my youth in LA from elementary to college and launches in all sizes,” Westbrook added. “Make sure the whole fam got one,” the NBA player advised his fans.
NIKE announced its collaboration with Russell Westbrook for his new ‘Why Not?’ Zero0.4 collection last month. Westbrook also worked with designer Hiromichi Ochiai on the project.
“We make things from a place of freedom and fun,” Ochiai said of Westbrook’s latest shoe design. “This latest collaboration is a testament to that way of thinking,” the designer shared.
Russell Westbrook also commented on his ‘Upbringing’ collection. “My favorite part about this shoe, and this whole collection, is being able to use different fabrics and materials yet still prioritizing the performance of the shoe,” the basketball player said.
The color scheme for ‘Upbringing’ is certainly vast with everything from neon colors to more subtle shades included in the array of fabrics. Westbrook was also mindful of the notion of parents sometimes wanting to match their kids’ style, which is why the designs remain the same across all sizes.
