Stephen Curry, Ayesha Curry, and their kids were all about charity this past weekend. The celebrity family hosted their non-profit’s annual “Christmas With The Currys” event, which helped 1,000 families in the Oakland area.
“Eat. Learn. Play.” was established to fill the need for kids in Oakland to enjoy healthy and well-balanced childhoods through fun activities and food. The organization works to help parents provide stability during the rearing years that is sometimes interrupted when moms and dads lack the bare necessities needed to create a household where kids can thrive. This year’s “Christmas With The Currys” event was made possible by several partners.
“What a day to remember,” the organization shared on its Instagram page after festivities convened. “On Saturday, the #EatLearnPlay team was joined alongside our co-founders, @stephencurry30 and @ayeshacurry as we held our annual #ChristmasWithTheCurrys Holiday food and gift distribution in the safest manner possible,” the social media post read. “We provided 1,000 Oakland families with $250 gift cards, as well as groceries, restaurant meals, fresh produce, books, and boxes full of incredible gifts provided by our great partners.”
Ayesha Curry also commented on the successful charity event. “So incredibly grateful to all of [the] partners who helped make our annual @eatlearnplay Christmas with The Curry’s distribution possible this year,” the celebrity mom shared in an Instagram post. “#EatLearnPlay worked in lockstep with the Alameda County Health Care Services Agency along with our city partners from the very beginning to ensure we are abiding by all of the COVID-19 health regulations,” Mrs. Curry added.
