Mike Tyson came to Zaya’s defense after rapper Boosie Badazz made controversial comments about the Wade family. Boosie attempted to defend his remarks during an interview on Mike Tyson’s podcast. The boxing champion ultimately silenced the rapper by asking, “What happened to you that you think that you’re somebody that can comment on somebody’s life?”

Many praised Mike Tyson for speaking against transphobia. Dwyane Wade also admired the boxing champion for his comments. “I actually talked to Mike about that early in the pandemic,” Wade revealed during his interview with Central Ave. “We had a conversation. I appreciated from a standpoint of, you know, Mike is someone who has never tried to be perfect. He is someone who has learned from this journey of life.”
Wade further praised Tyson by saying. “He’s so smart. He is so educated and knowledgeable about life. For him to be able to drop that nugget on the world, to me, it was great to hear him say that.”
