Vanessa Simmons’ daughter, Ava Marie Jean Wayans, is a Pastry Kids model. The youngster recently modeled the sneakers alongside her mom who helped spread popularity about the brand during the early 2000s.
Vanessa and her sister, Angela Simmons, created Pasty Shoes in 2007. Many saw the process of establishing the Pastry brand in MTV’s Run’s House. Few viewers were able to get their hands on a pair of Pastry shoes when the sneakers made their debut because of Angela and Vanessa’s decision to sell them online only. Unfortunately for the Simmons sisters, commerce buying was not as established back then, which made it impossible for international buyers to purchase the shoes.
Times have, of course, changed a lot since 2007 with the rise of Amazon. Now, Pastry Shoes are available nationwide and in various parts of the world. The sneakers are also more reasonably priced.
The average pair of Pastry shoes sell for about $60. There are other styles that market for around $40. According to the brand’s website,
“Pastry’s distinct quality features and passion for innovation have established the brand as America’s No. 1 Dance Sneaker for professional and university dance teams.”
Ava is certainly a good candidate to model her mom and aunt’s shoe brand. The youngster lets her bold personality shine through every time she is in front of the camera.
