Oschino and Freeway of State Property are mourning the death of their sons. The recording artists lost their kids in separate incidents.
Oschino posted a candid of him with his son days before Freeway shared the news of his 20-year-old son Jihad Pridgen’s passing. “I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy,” Oschino wrote online after hearing of Freeway’s loss. “Devastation at its finest,” the rapper added. “My life was perfect last week. My mind was clear, my money straight, my kids cool, my house in my name, my art popping, [and] then Boom. Five steps forward, 1,000 steps back!”
Reports claim Oschino’s son and his expectant girlfriend were killed in a car accident. No official cause of death has been released by the family or law enforcement, though. Oschino has confirmed, however, that Oschino’s son was a father. The rapper shared a candid of his late son’s 2-month-old daughter with fans. “He left behind a part of himself with his 2-month-old baby girl,” Oschino said.
Freeway also expressed heartbreak over the death of his son. “God knows I try my best to be strong, but this right here is a pain like I never felt,” the recording artist shared. “Please cherish your time and your loved ones because we’re not promised the next breath,” Freeway advised his fans. “I Pray Allah forgives my son for all Of his sins and I pray that Allah grants him the highest level of paradise,” the rapper said.
Oschino and Freeway were part of the group State Property, which released its debut record under Jay-Z’s Roc-A-Fella label in 2002. The group disbanded three years later with some artists remaining with Roc-A-Fella and others going to Dame Dash’s Dash Music Group.
