Fourteen-year-old Chef Simone Bridges is spreading #blackgirlmagic not only in the kitchen, but beyond. This talented young chef and owner of the Goddess Food Factory is proving that age is truly just a number.
The Jacksonville, FL teen has her own unique twist on traditional desserts and more. As a student at Darnell-Cookman School of the Medical Arts, her love for math and science earned her the nickname the STEM Chef. Having received overwhelming requests for her recipes and more, the teen created the ExS.T.R.E.A.M Baking program.
Her culinary enterprise has gotten her rave reviews from celebrities, chefs, and beyond. In 2017, Chef Simone proved that she had the right stuff when talk show host Steve Harvey gave her the thumbs up for her famous Snicker Brownies on his show, Steve.
In addition to being a chef, Chef Simone is a motivational speaker and author, talking to her audiences about STEAM/STREAM, her recipes, her appreciation for food and entrepreneurship.
Recently, Chef Simone sat down with fwinkspot.com to talk about a top-secret adventure that she was filming in Fort Wayne and more. Check out her interview in its entirety below.
Tell me what brought you to Fort Wayne this time?
Chef Simone: Although I can’t share all the details, I was sought out to be a part of a show coming soon and we are shooting right here in Fort Wayne.
Where else will the show be traveling to?
Chef Simone: The show will travel to 10 different states before launching on the BYU Network.
Talk to me about shooting and traveling in this current climate.
Chef Simone: Well there is weekly testing in each city to make sure that all staff and actors are safe. We wear masks and keep our distance except when on camera.
How do you keep up with school as you travel and manage your business?
Chef Simone: I am headed into the 9th grade and have continued to go to school virtually, manage my homework, and my business altogether.
