Family matters to Tamera Mowry-Housley, which is why the celebrity mom is leaving The Real after six seasons and seven years. Tamera took to Instagram with a heartfelt message earlier this week.
“For seven years, my home and heart has been at The Real,” Tamera told her social media fans. “The friendships that I’ve made there will last a lifetime, and the people that I’ve had the blessing to interview have changed my life for the better. I’m so proud of what all the ladies and I have accomplished there, including two well-deserved NAACP Image Awards and a Daytime Emmy.”
Tamera Mowry-Housley began her career as a talk show host in 2013 with Jeannie Mai, Adrienne Bailon-Houghton, Loni Love, and Tamar Braxton by her side. Some thought The Real would not be a hit because of its bold approach. The show, however, has managed to transform daytime talk shows with its setup.
“All good things must come to an end,” Tamera said of her decision to leave the show. “It’s with a bittersweet smile that I announce that I am moving on from The Real,” the celebrity continued. “I look forward to spending more time with my family, pursuing amazing new opportunities, and embarking on the next chapter of my life.”
Tamera Mowry and her husband, Adam Housley, launched their YouTube channel, The Housley Life, last year. To date, the channel has more than 316,000 subscribers who look forward to family nights in the kitchen as well as outdoor activities.
