Disney has been not only the go-to streaming service during the nationwide shelter-in-place era, it has also been the soundtrack of champions. Small children everywhere are rediscovering favorites and constantly playing them on repeat.
Recently, the magical mouse and ABC hosted a family sing-a-long, an all-star studded event, where celebrities joined in singing the classics from their homes. And of course, Queen B herself was among the A-list guests, singing “When You Wish Upon A Star: from Pinocchio.
Before she began her set, the songstress offered words of encouragement to all of the families around the world.
“Hello to all of the families across the world. I’m very proud and honored to be a part of the Disney family and to help present The Disney Songbook Singalong, in partnership with Feeding America,” she began. “I’d like to dedicate this song to all of the healthcare workers who’ve been working tirelessly to keep us healthy and safe. We greatly appreciate you.”
When she finished her presentation, Beyonce had one last word for fans, telling them to, “Please hold on to your families tight. Please be safe. Don’t give up hope. We’re gonna get through this. I promise. God bless you.”
The Disney Family Singalong was hosted by Ryan Seacrest. In addition to Beyonce, the other celebrities that took part in the event were Ariana Grande, Christina Aguilera, Demi Lovato and Darren Criss, who performed songs from Hercules, The Lion King, Cinderella and The Jungle Book. Other guests included Donny Osmond, who sung “I’ll Make A Man Out of You” from Mulan, and Auliʻi Cravalho who sung the Moana hit “How Far I’ll Go.”
If you missed the presentation, make sure that you check out any and all Disney media outlets, they are bound to do a repeat of the popular program or get geared up for round two.
