Vanessa Laine Bryant has filed legal documents with the court to amend her Kobe Bryant’s trust. The widow decided to take such measures in an effort to allow her and Kobe’s youngest daughter, Capri, to access her late father’s wealth.
According to TMZ,
“Kobe created a trust to provide for Vanessa and his kids way back in 2003. The trust was amended several times, most recently in 2017. It seems every time one of their 4 children was born, they amended the trust to include them.”
Capri is not included in the latest version of Kobe Bryant’s trust because the retired NBA player did not update the tenants of the document before he died in January. Kobe and Vanessa’s youngest child was born nine months ago. Kobe and his daughter, Gianna Bryant, were suddenly killed in a helicopter crash in January.

Kobe’s current trust allows Bianka, Gianna, and Natalia to withdraw funds along with Vanessa Bryant. An amendment to the documents would include Capri so that she is not left out of the family’s fortune.

Kobe Bryant and Gianna Bryant were headed to a basketball game at the Mamba Sports Academy on January 26, 2020, when their helicopter crashed into a hillside. The former Los Angeles Lakers player and his teen daughter were two of nine victims aboard the aircraft. Vanessa Bryant held a public celebration of life for her husband and daughter last month.
