Two of the most famous faces in the world today, basketball star, Stephen Curry and Euphoria actress, Storm Reid have teamed up for a special collaboration. In honor of International Women’s Day, slated for March 8th, the duo, in partnership with Under Armour, announced that they will debut a new sneaker-the Curry 7 “Bamazing” colorway.
“Steph and I collaborated on a shoe called The Curry 7 “Bamazing” colorway!!! The shoe will support opportunities for young women to reach their dreams, most notably through the annual International Women’s Day scholarship started in 2019 by Stephen and Ayesha Curry’s Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation and Under Armour. Thank you Steph for choosing me to be apart of this process. I am so honored…,” the talented teen posted on Instagram in regards to the partnership.
The “bamazing” name comes from Reid’s “Bamazing”, a platform that promotes positivity and self-love, and features the initiative’s logo on the sockliner along with encouraging phrases “Btrue” and “Bbrave.”
As Reid mentioned in her Instagram post, the shoe will support opportunities for young women as result of the Stephen and Ayesha Curry annual International Women’s Day scholarship, which under the Under Armour umbrella, will invest in four $30,000 scholarships for 2020. Four recipients will be announced during halftime at the Golden State Warriors game on March 7th.
