Storm Reid attends the Premiere of Universal Pictures’ The Invisible Man at TCL Chinese Theatre on February 24, 2020 in Hollywood, California looking like nothing but a true vision of loveliness in purple in custom Miu Miu.
Yet, prior to the red carpet event, the young star attended a special screening of the film, hosted by Complex ‘Watch Less’ Podcast hosts Frazier Tharpe & Khal, at the Crosby Hotel in New York City followed by a live taping Q&A with stars of the film, Aldis Hodge.
However, that wasn’t her only special screening event. Prior to the New York screening, the talented teen herself hosted a special screening of film at AMC Phipps Plaza in her hometown of Atlanta, GA. Host of HOT 107.1’s, Headkrack, introduced Reid and hyped up the crowd!
The Invisible Man, based on a novel by H.G. Wells, follows the story of Cecilia’s abusive ex as he takes his own life and leaves her his fortune. Cecilia, portrayed by Elizabeth Moss, suspects that his death is a hoax. As a series of coincidences turn lethal, Cecilia works to prove that she is being hunted by someone nobody can see.
In a recent interview, Reid stated that the movie is, “…a piece talking about gaslighting, toxic masculinity and domestic violence. I really try to be in projects that are purposeful and that people will relate to.” Stating that her character, Sydney, who really cares about Cecilia and ultimately helps to save her life is, “…just a young woman who is very mature for her age. She looks at Cecilia as an aunt figure, maybe a mother figure. Her mother is no longer in the picture. She had to grow up a lot faster than she would have liked.”
The Invisible Man stars Elizabeth Moss, Aldis Hodge and Storm Reid. The thriller will hit theaters nationwide on February 28th.
