Brandy Norwood’s daughter, Sy’rai Smith, is growing up right before our eyes! Brandy shared a new picture of her daughter this past weekend that was simply stunning.
Sy’rai gave an effortless pose that took thousands of social media followers by surprise. “She’s still supposed to be 6 [years old,” one fan mused. “I remember when you were in labor with her,” Brandy’s social media follower said. “She’s beautiful.”
Brandy’s mother, Sonja Norwood, also commented on her granddaughter’s beauty. “Gramma’s beautiful teenager,” Sonja wrote online. “She brings joy,” the celebrity grandmother exclaimed. “Brightest light in my life,” Brandy said of her daughter.
Sy’rai Smith will soon be a young adult. The youngster celebrates her eighteenth birthday in June. It was during a 2015 interview with Jet that Brady revealed how her daughter, who was 12-years-old at the time, helped her overcome depression.

“When you’ve been sad and have dealt with depression so deeply and so darkly, [you get] tired of feeling like that,” the celebrity mom shared. “I felt like that for so long and I got tired of my daughter seeing me like that and I wasn’t setting a great example,” Brandy explained. “So through prayer and changing my mind and disciplining myself to get to where I needed to be, I changed my life. And now I know why I’m here. At 36, I know it now.”
Sy’rai has followed in her mother’s footsteps as a performer. The teen’s vocal abilities are so great that many believe Sy’rai may be the next big thing in the music industry. The teen’s latest picture shared online by her mom, however, has some thinking that Brandy’s daughter may pursue modeling going forward.
