Introducing Isaac Menelik Giovanni Ervin! Ashley Graham and her husband, Justin Ervin, gave fans the special treat of seeing their son during the latest episode of Pretty Big Deal. Baby Ervin made his YouTube debut on Tuesday (February 4) with more than 50,000 viewers tuning into the show.
“Every young couple that is expecting should watch this,” one YouTuber shared after seeing the love that Ashley and Justin share. Another of Ashley’s supporters said, “Motherhood looks incredible on you!”
Ashley Graham and Justin Ervin welcomed their son on January 18, 2020. Justin already had a named picked out for his baby boy.
“My sister Kia and I would have discussions about, ‘Oh, one day, when we have kids,'” The celebrity father said during his interview segment on Pretty Big Deal. “I brainstormed my own name for my future son, and I knew it was gonna be Isaac,” Justin said.
“Everything in his name is pointing to legacy,” the celebrity dad further explained. Justin took a trip to Ethiopia last Christmas where he learned that the first emperor of the country was named Menelik I.
The name “Isaac” is a nod to the Christian Bible, which bolsters the character of Isaac as one of the patriarchs of the faith. Giovanni was a name suggested by a family friend.
“I have to say, now that I gave birth and I did it naturally and I felt everything, I feel like there’s nothing I can’t do,” Ashley said of her labor and delivery experience. The model decided to have an at-home birth without any medication to numb the pain.
“There’s nothing that could come my way where I say, ‘Oh, that’s too hard, I can’t handle that,'” the celebrity mom said. “I went through laboring for six hours naturally.”
