Bronny James got his father, LeBron James, out of his seat at Sierra Canyon High School this past Tuesday (January 28). The teen slam-dunked during his basketball game, which made LeBron smile.
Bronny worked with his teammates to set up the incredible score. The teen managed to catch the opposing team off guard. It was too late for defense to do anything after Bronny’s teammate passed the ball to him as the teen immediately went to the rim for the dunk. LeBron smiled after his son scored.
Bronny James and his teammates honored the late Kobe Bryant during Tuesday’s game. The teens wrote “Mamba” on their shoes in recognition of the iconic player.
“I’m not ready,” LeBron said of Kobe’s passing. “I literally just heard your voice Sunday morning before I left Philly to head back to LA,” the Los Angeles Lakers player said. “[I] didn’t think for one bit in a million years that would be the last conversation we’d have. WTF!! I’m heartbroken and devastated, my brother.”
LeBron James passed Kobe Bryant on the list of players who have scored the most points in NBA history. Kobe’s final Instagram post honored LeBron’s accomplishment. “Keep growing the game and charting the path for the next,” Bryant encouraged James.
LeBron James now deems the charge of “charting the path for the next” as a responsibility. Bronny James also appears to follow in the same vein. Stay tuned for more celebrity father news!
