Keyshia Cole took to Instagram over the weekend to share a family photo with her fans. In the photo, the singer can be seen posing with her baby boy Tobias, older son Daniel Jr, and mom Frankie Lons. In a second picture, Frankie poses with Keyshia’s boyfriend, Niko Khale.
Cole captioned the snaps, “Happy YOU DECIDED ON YOUR OWN, to check YOURSELF INTO a facility to get treatment. Its only been two weeks but, I’m trying to be hopeful and optimistic. Maybe that’s what’ll make THIS TIME different. This being what YOU WANTED AND NO ONE ELSE…….. Maybe this is the YEAR IN ALL ASPECTS !!!!! GREATNESS #Mom.”
Keyshia previously addressed her mother’s addiction in 2018, revealing that Frankie had relapsed in her battle with substance abuse.
“Every time my mom relapse, it breaks my heart more than it’s already been broken. I’m hoping if any of u are dealing with a family member who’s battling with drug addiction, that you, yourself are learning how to cope with the struggle of it all. And all the pain it brings to see a loved one constantly relapsing. See them go back to the streets because that’s what they’re used to, or would rather be. I really miss you! And will always love u #FrankTheBank”
Over the years, Lons has been in and out of rehab facilities. Cole admitted back in 2016 that she “even went broke once putting all my money and house up to pay for mom’s rehab.” Adding, “Nothing has worked on my end.”
