Hitting the airwaves back in November 2019, Nickelodeon’s America’s Most Musical Family was an unquestionable instant success! Over the freshman season of the show, families competed to see who would win a recording contract with Republic Records and a cash prize of $250,000. Well, during the season finale, the audience voted, and the winners are…The Melisizwe Brothers!
Comprised of Zacary Justen James, Seth Jared James, and big brother, Marc Aaron James, the trio from Alberta, Canada competed against 30 family bands from all over North America to win the ultimate prize all while celebrity judges Ciara, David Dobrik, and Debbie Gibson cheered them along.
The Melisizwe Brothers were introduced to audiences with a performance of “All of Me” by John Legend, continuing to solidify their superstar status throughout the competition with their own renditions of “Water Runs Dry” by Boyz II Men, “Waiting On The World To Change” by John Mayer and “Let It Go” by James Bay. Which songs led to their win, you ask? Well, it was their renditions of “Brave” by Sara Bareilles and “7 Years” by Lukas Graham that put them over the edge.
Following the finale, The Melisizwe Brothers released their new original single, “Stadium,” as the start to their winning contract.
Want to see them perform their new single live? Tune into Nickelodeon’s All That on January 25th at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT. You definitely don’t want to miss it!
