Angela Simmons is remembering her ex-fiancé and baby’s father, Sutton Tennyson, on the one-year anniversary of his untimely death.
On Sunday, the Growing Up Hip Hop star took to Instagram to post a series of touching photos of Tennyson and their son Sutton Joseph, 3.

She wrote along with the photos, “Woke up earlier than usual today . Realized God wanted to talk to me . And today marks a year since you left us.”
She continued, “Sutton , You left us exactly a year ago today. I want to let you know your baby boy is flourishing , he’s growing . He’s everything you knew he’d be and even more. I look at him everyday….and I see you so much . You’d be so proud of him . The way I’m proud of him . He talks to me about you before bed . He’s adorable Sutton . There’s so much I want to tell you . But I know you are with us everyday . I can never repay you or thank you enough for the light you have brought to my life . He’s so precious. And we miss you . So much more to say . But thank you for everything . Gone but never forgotten.”

On Nov. 3, 2018, Tennyson was shot and killed outside his home, after an argument with another man turned deadly.
According to an autopsy report, which was obtained by TMZ, Tennyson was fatally shot 13 times. The publication reports that he was shot in his arms, legs, stomach and chest and three of the 13 gunshots did an “enormous amount of damage” to Tennyson’s heart.

Sutton and Angela were engaged for several months before ending their relationship in 2017. The two welcomed their son Sutton Joseph Tennyson Jr. in September 2016.
