When you are the sons of legendary basketball players Dwayne Wade and Lebron James, the bar for athletic achievement is set just a little higher. Well, Zaire Wade and Bronny James are meeting expectations, and some would even say surpassing it, as they continually show off their skills on the court.
Recently, the two Sierra Canyon students showed several media outlets that they definitely have the right stuff for Sierra Canyon’s annual media day. The pair goofed for the cameras, made creative dunks and much more all without warming up first.
The day after the event, of course, highlights were broadcast on several ESPN news outlets. But, competing on their high school team is just the beginning for these two rising superstars, as they are about to take their act on the road this December, heading to the Nationwide Arena on December 14th.
The pair will be playing with some of the top high school basketball talent from across the country in the Ohio Scholastic Play-by-Play Classic.
However, the famous duo are not the only superstars of the Sierra Canyon basketball team. The school also boasts top-notch athletes on the girl’s basketball team as well. The women of Sierra Canyon have three NCAA Division I commits on their team. Ashley Chevalier (Texas, Vanessa DeJesus (Duke), and Alexis Mark (Boise State), in conjunction with James’ and Wade’s boys, will unquestionably sell out every home game for awhile. The gym at Sierra Canyon only holds 1,200 people. Although the school will host home games at another larger location, we think that an expansion should unquestionably be on the horizon for the school to help with the thousands of fans that will descend upon the games for the next few years.
