Serena Williams had the support of her husband, Alexis Ohanian Sr., and daughter, Alexis Olympia, at New York Fashion Week (NYFW). The tennis superstar debuted pieces from her Spring/Summer 2020 collection during Tuesday’s show at Metropolitan West in New York City.
Serena accessorized an outfit from her collection with tennis shoes that served as symbols of her athletic abilities. Williams’ daughter also wore tennis shoes with her outfit by Serena, the brand. The little one, who has been her mom’s greatest promoter online, shared the spotlight with Serena on the catwalk.
Alexis Ohanian Sr. may not have joined his wife and daughter on stage, but the celebrity father and husband was overwhelmingly proud of his spouse. “Felt so good to see @serenawilliams thank everyone with @OlympiaOhanian at the end of her first fully independent #NYFW show,” Alexis wrote online after the successful show.
“I still remember Serena’s sketch of the ‘S’ and vectorizing it in Illustrator so she could have an icon of her own,” he added. “Now it’s the brand of a growing portfolio, starting with fashion. Congrats to the entire @serena team on a great event!”
